Signature Program:
Elite Transfer Guarantee
You're at community college right now. Maybe that was your plan, maybe it wasn't. Either way, you're here now, and you're wondering if it's actually possible to transfer into Berkeley, UCLA, or even an Ivy from where you're sitting.
It is. Last cycle, 100% of my transfer students were admitted to Berkeley and/or UCLA. Several also got into Tier 1 schools like Columbia, Brown, Cornell, and UChicago.
I'm Sean. I transferred to UC Berkeley Haas from CC myself years ago. I've been exactly where you are, and I've spent the last decade helping other prospective transfers make the same leap. Near the end of the program, you’ll have a bulletproof transfer strategy, 12-16 high-impact extracurriculars, and applications that actually impress admissions officers.

00. What is this program?
A long-term coaching partnership (between 6 to 15 months) where I personally build your entire transfer profile — academics, extracurriculars, leadership, essays, applications — and position you as a top 1% candidate for elite schools like UC Berkeley, UCLA, and the Ivy League.
This isn't essay editing or passive, generic counseling. I work with you multiple times a month to build a real competitive edge in every category that matters: your coursework, your activities, your narrative, and your applications. 97% of my program students have been admitted to Tier 1 schools, including students who started with low GPAs or no meaningful extracurriculars.
01. Who are you?
I'm Coach Sean. I transferred to UC Berkeley Haas (Go Bears!) from DVC in one year, then spent eight years in tech, venture capital, and consulting before while also working as a college admissions coach. Before that, I worked as an admissions coordinator at Carnegie Mellon and TAP representative at Berkeley, which means I've read thousands of top 1% applications from the other side of the table.
I've been doing this for 10 years now. 200+ students. 97% admitted to T20 schools. I provide 1:1 hands-on coaching to every student, start to finish. No junior associates or essay ghostwriters.
02. Who is this program for?
CC students who want to maximize their chances for UC Berkeley, UCLA, or a top private university, and are willing to put in serious work over multiple months to make it happen. You don't need a perfect GPA or list of activites to start. You do need to be coachable, consistent, and curious about what success looks like for you.
03. What makes The Leeway different from regular college consulting?
A. Strategic, not generic. Every part of your profile, courses, activities, essays — is designed from scratch to tell one cohesive narrative and compelling brand. Nothing is random. I build a custom roadmap for your specific situation, major, and target schools, and we execute it together step by step.
B. You work with me. Only me. I run The Leeway solo and keep my cohort small. You get my direct attention from day one all the way through your last acceptance letter. No junior associates, no part-time essay writers.
C. I don't just advise. I connect. Through my pool of 110+ curated opportunities, I personally help you secure research positions, internships, nonprofit roles, and leadership placements that most CC students don't even know exist. Every activity is chosen to reinforce your narrative and fill gaps in your profile.
D. Plus, an optional money-back guarantee* if you keep a minimum GPA and don't get into your top school choices. If you opt in, we will sign a contract for the guarantee. You won’t find an offer like this elsewhere.
*Requires a minimum 3.8 - 3.9 GPA based on major. Students below this range are still eligible for the full program without the guarantee.
04. Sounds great, but what’s actually included in this program?
The program covers five areas, every one of them hands-on and personalized to your goals:
I. Ivy+ Profile Foundations: We design your personal narrative, brand your social impact story, and strategically position your extracurriculars so every piece of your profile tells one cohesive story.
II. Ivy+ Profile Accelerator I personally connect you with research positions, internships, civic engagement roles, and professional organizations through my network of 110+ curated opportunities. From there, I provide hands-on coaching through the entire application process, including essay development, resume building, and interview preparation.
III. Academic Blueprint: A semester-by-semester coursework roadmap, full ASSIST.org articulation mapping, scholarship applications (up to $120K in potential awards), and contingency planning if your GPA takes a hit.
IV. Elite Application Coaching: Every essay, activity description, and supplement drafted and refined together. Unlimited revisions. Your final application is reviewed by 2–3 former admissions officers from my network before you hit submit.
V. Concierge Support: Weekly or biweekly strategy sessions, 24-hour response policy, and post-submission guidance through your final decision.
Here’s a detailed list of everything you get:
-
1. Personal Narrative Design: We’ll craft one cohesive story connecting your academics, interests, and goals so that admissions officers instantly understand who you are and where you’re headed.
2. "Social Impact" Branding: Top universities look for leadership and purpose in contributions towards society. Together we’ll shape a higher mission that makes your profile memorable and meaningful by connecting you to opportunities where you get involved in local businesses, nonprofits, and government institutions.
3. Strategic EC Positioning: I guide you to targeted opportunities that fill gaps in your profile, including leadership, community impact, and academic depth. My students typically have 14 to 16 high-impact ECs by the time they apply. Each one is strategically chosen to reinforce your narrative, not just pad your list.
-
4. Elite Research Placements: Academic research is one of the most impactful additions to your profile. I’ll match you with multiple impactful research opportunities aligned with your major interests and help craft proposals that boost your narrative.
5. Internship/Externship Placements: I connect you with relevant internships during the year and/or winter/summer breaks to showcase your readiness and “Personal Brand” clarity to AOs, while furthering your own career journey so you can establish your career trajectory ASAP.
6. Guaranteed Social/Civic Impact Placements – You will be matched with community, political, and/or civic engagement opportunities, strategically aligned to your profile, as AOs are looking for mission-driven, “real world” contributions versus random volunteering hours that don’t serve your personal purpose.
7. Resume and LinkedIn Design + Interview Prep: I build your resume and LinkedIn from scratch and run you through technical and behavioral interview prep, so you're ready to secure competitive internships and research positions, not just apply.
8. Summer and Winter Break Programming: Every break is a strategic window. I help you decide the right balance — coursework, internship, research, or fellowship — based on where your profile has gaps and what will move the needle most before you apply.
9. Nationwide Organization Membership: I secure your memberships in professional and academic organizations, such as industry groups and national leadership networks, that add credibility to your profile and open doors to scholarships, conferences, and networking you wouldn't access on your own.
10. Faculty Relationships: I coach you on building genuine relationships with your professors, the kind that lead to strong recommendation letters, research invitations, and mentorship that extends beyond your time at CC.
-
11. Coursework Roadmap: I'll build you an exact roadmap for what courses to take for which semester, to maximize your chances of finishing CC with a 4.0 GPA while evolving key skills for your upper-division and career goals.
12. Articulation Mastery: I’ll personally map your classes using to ensure optimal course variety, minimize wasted credits, and maximize transfer efficiency.
13. School and Major Planning: I take the time to understand your actual interests, strengths, and career goals — not just what you think you should major in. From there, I build a strategic school list matched to your ambitions and your realistic admit chances.
14. Academic Signal Boosting: We create visible signals of academic seriousness, such as course rigor, specialization, and intellectual initiative, that AOs specifically look for when evaluating transfer candidates.
15. Scholarship Application Strategy: I'll identify transfer scholarships and provide application support (e.g. Phi Theta Kappa, Jack Kent Cooke, Coca-Cola Scholars, etc.) that could be worth up to $120K.
16. Academic Contingency Planning: If a bad grade threatens your GPA, I step in immediately with a plan, whether that's a course adjustment, a retake strategy, or a way to reframe it in your application narrative.
17. Performance Systems Coaching: I help you build the systems that high-performing students rely on: time management, task prioritization, and self-advocacy with professors and advisors. These habits set you up to thrive long after you transfer to your dream school
The goal: transform your profile from “another applicant with a high GPA” to “I need this student on my campus, now.”
-
8. Activities List Mastery: I work with you to craft every activity description so each character counts, highlighting your leadership, impact, and growth across everything we've built together.
19. Essay Mastery: We brainstorm, outline, draft, and refine every essay together: all four UC Personal Insight Questions, your Common App personal statement, and every supplemental essay for your private school targets. Unlimited revisions until each one is compelling, authentic, and fully aligned with your narrative. You won't submit anything you're not proud of.
20. Strategic School & Major Selection: I build your perfect full school list (UCs + privates) with a realistic reach/target/safety structure. For private schools, we select the programs where your profile is strongest and tailor every application to that school's specific values and culture.
21. Recommendation Letter Strategy: I help you identify the right recommenders, coach you on how to approach them, and ensure each letter reinforces your narrative from a different angle.
22. Full Application Audit: Before you submit anything — UC or private — I review your entire application end to end. Every field, every description, every word.
23. AO Peer Review: Your final essays get a second layer of review from 2–3 former admissions officers in my network. You'll know how your application reads to the people who actually make these decisions.
24. Complete Portfolio Design: If your target program accepts or encourages a portfolio, I help you select, organize, and present your work for maximum impact.
-
23. Biweekly Strategy Sessions: Regular meetings and frequent communication to accomplish every bullet point listed above.
24. 24-Hour Response Policy: No ghosting here: every question from you or your family answered within one business day. Most of the time, much faster.
25. Post-Submission Guidance: I stay with you through every acceptance letter, help you make your final decision, and build a roadmap for your first semester so you hit the ground running.
05. How much does it cost?
Because every student's backgrounds and goals are different, I offer personalized programs and pricing. That said, here are the general guidelines. You’ll be paying in multiple installments, not a one-time payment.
The highest tier signature program. It’s the only program that offers the money back guarantee option, starts at $7500 if you’re applying only to UCs, to $10000+ for UCs and top private schools. This tier includes everything listed above, with multiple coaching sessions per month. This is basically the program where all you have to worry about is maintaing your grades and I take care of the rest to get you into Ivy+ schools.
If that’s too intensive, then you can opt for the express package, which is a condensed version of the program that doesn’t include the application coaching. You’ll get all the benefits of Parts 1, 2, and 3, with the option to add on application coaching later down the line. This starts at $3500.
And of course, we can create a custom package just for you that sits somewhere in between.
This program pays for itself quickly. For context:
(1) My students have collectively earned over $500K in transfer scholarships through Phi Theta Kappa, Jack Kent Cooke, and institutional merit awards
(2) Less than 1% of Americans attend elite schools. Those graduates make up 15% of the top 0.1% of earners. The school on your resume changes everything, especially in today’s job market.
(3) Other services in this space (like Transfergoat or Crimson Education) easily charge $18000+. Most of them are doing significantly less hands-on work than what you'd get here, and their results show it.
Plus: as my student, you will receive 2X bonuses on referral incentives (up to $850) per person who signs up with The Leeway!
From past students, now at Ivies & beyond:
“Really loved the coach wasn’t kidding when he talked about being hands-on. He gave me access to opportunities I had no clue existed (and neither did my CC counselors). He delivered on his word and got me through into top schools, plus some key additions to my resume. Appreciate you, Sean!”
- Jordan W. (CS + Econ, transferred to Brown)"When I started community college, I was overwhelmed and didn’t know where to begin as an international student. The Leeway helped me figure out what really mattered in my background and how to share it in a way that still rang true to me. It wasn’t easy, but in the end I submitted something I was really proud of... and it got me into Columbia."
- Eun Seo C. (Econ/Math, transferred to Columbia) “I never thought Cornell was realistic with my GPA. Sean saw something in my story that I didn't and helped me tell a narrative in a way that made the numbers matter less, and my real accomplishments more. He was also a huge help in getting my path straight at CC and end with a 3.8. I'm proof that your GPA doesn't have to define your future.”
- Anna B. (Biology/premed, transferred to Cornell) “Before working with Sean I did not know how to explain my experiences in a way that American colleges would understand. He taught me how to frame my story without losing what makes it mine. The hours were long and he pushed me hard, but when Haas said yes I knew every late session was worth it. I wouldn’t have gotten here without him.”
